The family home until early '60s was on St John's Place, just off Nostrand. Could be one of those brownstones in your photo. Moved to Flatbush before I came to Japan, and I'll be visiting family in Bay Ridge next week, and taking my wife to the Brooklyn Museum one afternoon -- think it'll be a little too cool for sunset at Ft Hamilton, maybe next time. Moved to Flatbush before I came to Japan, and I’ll be visiting family in Bay Ridge next week, and taking my wife to the Brooklyn Museum one afternoon — think it’ll be a little too cool for sunset at Ft Hamilton, maybe next time.

I know east flatbush and flatbush flatbush. Oh well, realtors are always creating new neighborhoods to attract renters or to keep from scaring them off. They used to say "Stuyvesant Heights" instead of Bed-Stuy, because of the stigma of the Stuy. Maybe that's dead, the stigma I mean.
