I just wanted to take out a moment to wish all my readers a Happy New Year or as they say here in Japan: akemashite omedetto gozaimasu.
The Japanese have another little phrase they use quite a bit this time of year and I’ve grown fond of it. It goes: Kon toshi mo yoroshiku onegai shimasu. No real translation for it culturally but literally it’s like saying: thanks for looking out for me last year and please look out for me this year too.
Pretty cool, right? Well, it’s the sentiment I want to convey to me readers exactly! I will keep cranking out the posts, time permitting and god willing, and endeavour to improve the quality so that your visits will be more rewarding than ever!
This year I have one major resolution. That is to get my books into publishing shape and into the right hands so that they may make the shelves sometime in the very near future. If I can achieve that goal than all other goals will fall into place I think.
Kon toshi mo hontou ni ganbarimasu (I will give it my very best effort this year as well)
And I’ll be chronicling this process on Loco in Yokohama so stay tuned.
Once again, thank you all for your support over the past year and I look forward to hearing from all of you soon! I wish a healthy and prosperous New Year to you and your families.
Sincerely,
Loco in Yokohama
